Thought I would share this question that came from a customer today about the transparency of our maps.
Question: Are you able to create the map with a transparent background so that if printed into card it wouldn’t be in a white box?
Answer: Yes! The map does have a transparent background by default.
I do want to mention that the graphics are SVGs which are set to automatically have white fill. This said, the printer would not print white fill, it assumes that white is the paper. Not to mention that no printer has white ink, unless you are an industrial printer specializing in that sort of thing.
Here is a video demonstrating the transparency of the background and graphics. It also shows how to change the graphic's fill colour.
